Newsletter January 2015

January 2015
Help shaping eco-innovation progress!

With our first issue of greenXpo’s newsletter in 2015, we wish you a prosperous and successful year, full of promising developments! Also in 2015, greenXpo acts as an enthusiastic member of the eco-innovation community. As usual, its knowledge portal will provide tailor-made information on all main aspects of eco-innovation.

Today, we have the pleasure to invite you to join us at even two events. Attend them and help shaping eco-innovation progress with your experience!

We would like to invite you to the ‘‘Greater interface efficiency in chemical value chains – challenges and potential’’ dialogue event, which will take place on March 3rd, 2014 in Capenhurst, UK, and registration is now open. The half day meeting will include the presentation of three case studies from industrial leaders, such as Unilever and AM Technology, demonstrating the opportunities and challenges arising from innovation in a complex supply chain. This will be followed by a facilitated session to discuss the barriers and opportunities at regional, national and European levels. There will also be a presentation on the support that can be provided from Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Network. The day will finish with the opportunity to view the laboratories of C-Tech Innovation.

The second occasion to discuss in depth development within value chains and beyond will be in April. At April 22nd and 23rd the greenXpo Final Conference will take place in Jyväskylä, Finland. It will focus on the important role of enablers in eco-innovation and bring together regional development professionals with local SMEs and companies in addition to policy makers and European experts. On the background of greenXpo’s results and recommendations thematic workshops will create insights and ideas for practical implementation. Identifying the development potential which lays in value chains and their complex connection to their environment will be one main question. Another point of consideration will be the network of partners which is needed to fully exploit this potential. April, 24th, is reserved for visiting local industry partners. Stay tuned and visit our Events section for more details!

We are looking forward to joining forces there!
