Green Ship of the Future is an industry-driven network which aims at minimising the carbon footprint by developing and demonstrating eco-innovations for the maritime industry in Denmark. The focus is on joint projects and studies on near-to-market solutions for energy efficient design and low carbon solutions in ship manufacturing and maritime transport operations. 

New Bus for London: Diesel Electric Hybrid

Transport for London (TfL) is one of the UK’s forerunners of responsible purchasing of road transport vehicles. The “NewBus4London" (NBfL) is the first bus specifically designed for London in over 50 years. It uses modern hybrid technology and emits less than half the CO2 and NOx than a previous London diesel bus in service. It is the largest order of hybrid buses ever placed in Europe. Over the lifetime of the buses, TfL expect them to produce a substantial savings.

The purpose is to create a standard practice and inspire Swedish colleagues to set sustainability requirements for purchasing.

Innovative Electric Buses in Vienna

An Urban Development Plan for 2025 has been established by the City of Vienna. As part of the plan, a sustainable transport policy has been put in place with the goal of reducing the amount of motorised transport by 20% by 2025. Therefore, the City is making significant changes and introducing a more sustainable transport system.
