DiGeSPO – micro Combined Heat and Power Innovative compact devices for residential and commercial buildings

DiGeSPO has developed a small thermodynamic solar system based on innovative concentrated solar power (CSP) and Stirling engine technologies. The resulting device aims at providing electrical power, heating and cooling for houses as well as residential and commercial buildings. Also, the system will be integrated in an architecturally acceptable manner and with low visual impact.

COOL-Coverings: a range of nanotech coatings to improve Near Infrared (NIR) reflective properties of buildings

The COOL-Coverings project addressed a range of insulation solutions based on nanotechnology coatings. These coatings aim at improving the Near Infrared (NIR) reflective properties of construction materials, thereby improving the energy efficiency in buildings. A set of new materials was developed to be implemented into several construction components. 

CAPWA - CAPture WAter – A new source of water

The CAPWA project has developed a novel water capture technology capable of extracting water molecules from water containing gas streams emitted from fossil fuel power plants or papermaking plants.

Nano-structured TiON Photo-Catalytic Membranes for Water Treatment (NATIOMEM)

The NATIOMEM consortium has developed a new photocatalytic membrane for water and wastewater treatment. The coated membrane, when irradiated by sunlight, is capable of oxidizing micropollutants and inactivating microorganisms. The coated membrane could be integrated into a treatment system, for water treatment without chemical addition.
