GreenEcoNet is promoting sustainable practices by connecting SMEs and the research community, thus facilitating faster transition to a green economy. Raising awareness, disseminating results as well as the uptake of green business practices across Europe are its main foci; its platform is the instrument for it. 

Resource innovation Network for European Waste (ReNEW)

The Resource Innovation Network for European Waste (ReNEW) represents a network of organisations whose aim it is to develop, support and deliver innovations for and along the waste supply chain.[1] It successfully promotes the recovery of valuable materials from waste.[2] By combining activities the partners are promoting sustainable practices among a wide range of target groups.

 
Supporting SMEs in developing their eco-innovation capacities

ResilieNtWEB developed a sustainable eco-innovation toolkit for SMEs to develop their capacities in setting up a sustainable strategy for resilient growth. The tools help the SMEs to scan and identify issues which require action, find commercial opportunities at the local and/or international level and draw up a programme of innovative actions to bring them to fruition in a sustainable way

Eurocities

EUROCITIES is a network of local governments comprising of Europe’s major cities. The network is dedicated to strengthen interest representation of cities at European level and to facilitate networking between city governments. A wide range of working groups, projects, activities and events focus on six thematic fields under the policy priorities of climate, citizens and jobs. 

INNEON (Eco-innovation for Investment Network)

INNEON is a network for eco-innovation investment. It aims to foster  public and private funding   for eco-innovation and social business in Europe by linking up innovative entrepreneurs and relevant investors. The network is providing consultancy and coaching for selected entrepreneurs, an online matchmaking platform for innovators and investors, networking events and more. 

ACR+ (The Association of Cities and Regions for Recycling and Sustainable Resource Management)

ACR+ is an international network of primarily local and regional authorities, who aim to promote smart resource consumption and the sustainable management of municipal waste by encouraging prevention at the source, reuse and recycling. The network develops the expertise and skills of public authorities and facilitating and raising awareness by providing support and consultancy, disseminating research results, promoting information sharing and networking

Enabling the provision of tailored training to students in order to help them become more aware as consumers in future

The Consumer classroom is an online network for teachers which brings together an extensive library of educational resources which are relevant for consumers from across Europe. The platform provides teachers with a series of suggestions, advice and tools which support them while teaching students how to be responsible consumers

European Industrial Symbiosis Association (EUR-ISA)

The objective of the European Industrial Symbiosis Association (EUR-ISA) is to connect the various industrial symbiosis networks established in different European Member States. It uses a knowledge sharing platform for sharing resources, data, best practice, innovative ideas and expertise. This helps to enable a more rapid, wide scale implementation of industrial symbiosis across Europe, based on the proven models of EUR-ISA members.[1]

 
Procurement of Eco-Innovative Catering – INNOCAT

INNOCAT – Procurement of Eco-Innovative Catering, aims to encourage responsible purchasing by bringing together a group of public and private buyers to publish a series of tenders for eco-innovative catering products and services. The aim of this project, supported by the EC Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP), is to help encourage eco-innovation in the catering sector by providing a sizeable launch market for new solutions.

Developing sustainable production methods and tools to optimise resource consumption in the European food production and processing sector

RESFOOD is a European Union funded project to develop innovative technologies for food cultivation and processing in Europe. The project has achieved promising results and developed new technologies for a resource efficient and safe food chain which will be pilot tested in the food growing and processing industry in Europe.
